Two senior hires for Degreed

SALT LAKE CITY

Renaissance Leadership is pleased to announce the recent placements of Johannes Fischli as VP Corporate Controller and Dave Carter as President and CRO to San Francisco headquartered company, Degreed.

Degreed's learning experience platform (LXP) helps individuals develop and measure their academic, professional and informal learning, while allowing organizations to discover and track the skills that the employees within their company possess. By matching learners with the world’s largest ecosystem of open learning resources, Degreed empowers workers with skill insights, diverse development experiences and career mobility. In 2021, the upskilling platform secured $153 million of Series D funding – led by Sapphire Ventured and Riverwood Capital – to value the company at $1.4 billion. The funding is being used to accelerate product development, enhance data infrastructure, fuel global expansion, and pursue strategic acquisitions.

Johannes Fischli, an accomplished accounting and finance executive with 15+ years of progressive serving VC and PE-backed organizations in the SaaS and E-Com sector, joins as Vice President Corporate Controller. He most recently worked as VP Corporate Controller at Accela. Prior to this, he held the role of Senior Director of Accounting and Business Transformation at Juul Labs during their hyper-growth phase and had oversight of ASC 606 revenue accounting and e-com order to cash expansion into 13 countries. He joins Degreed to lead all day-to-day finance operations and supervise a team of six staff members, including functional responsibility over SaaS metrics, accounting, payables, receivables, commissions, payroll, and international expansion.

Dave Carter also joins Degreed as President and CRO. Joining from Legion Technologies, Dave holds a solid track record of building and leading world-class sales organizations that consistently meet and exceed revenue commitments. He has demonstrated success running start ups, scale stage and larger public companies selling to SMB's, Mid-Market and Enterprise clients.

These organizational changes will facilitate Degreed’s next stage of growth and reflects the greater focus Degreed are placing on their people, processes and technologies.
