Swoon Editions appoints Andy Murray as Chief Operating Officer

Renaissance Leadership is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Murray as COO at Swoon Editions, one of the UK’s fastest growing furniture brands. Murray has 20 plus years’ experience in managing and directing commercial operations for blue chip companies. Swoon Editions said he would strengthen the business’ functionality to ensure it is efficiently scalable as the organisation continues to grow.

Murray joins from Tyres on the Drive, the UK’s leading mobile tyre fitting service where he ran their operations teams, including its network of technicians across the country, its distribution centre in Birmingham and its call centre in Holmes Chapel.

Prior to Tyres, Andy spent time at Dixons Carphone, where he was the Programme Director of the group’s operations process for its joint venture with Sprint USA. Previous experience also includes roles at Method Products, Kingfisher and Charles Worthington, after starting his career at Black and Decker as a graduate trainee.

London based Swoon Editions was founded in 2012 by former Telegraph Media Group colleagues Brian Harrison and Debbie Williamson, after each became frustrated with the cost of stylishly furnishing their homes. They set up Swoon Editions to offer consumers high quality, craftsman-made furniture designs, at affordable prices.  They design, make and sell furniture, using technology at the heart of the business to build a forward thinking, innovative company.
Swoon Editions is backed by funding from Octopus Investments and Index Ventures.
