Renaissance is delighted to announce the appointment of Spyros Karageorgis as CFO at their London Headquarters.
Spyros has joined to take responsibility for Finance, HR, Legal and IT Operations. Over the last 12 years Spyros has been CFO for a number of software organisations from seed funded through to significant global operations. During his time at Venda (a technology company that produces eCommerce software as a service) the company grew 250 people globally and Spyros ran operations in the UK, US and India. He was in the midst of preparing it for an AIM listing when they sold it to NetSuite. Following the sale of Venda he joined Cortexica Vision Systems as CFO/COO, which was acquired by Zebra Technologies in November 2019.
Founded in 2014, Eigen Technologies has produced an AI driven platform that automates the extraction and classification of information from documents. Whilst there are several competitors addressing this market, Eigen’s key differentiator is that once installed the machine learning engine can be enhanced at the user level rather than requiring highly expensive Consultants and Engineers to maximise its capabilities. This of course leads to a significant reduction in cost and therefore a far more rapid ROI for the end user.
In November 2019 Eigen Technologies closed its Series B funding of $40M with an exceptional syndicate that included Goldman Sachs, Temasek Holdings, Lakestar and Dawn Capital.
Commenting on the assignment Dr Lewis Z Liu, Co-Founder & CEO, Eigen Technologies stated, “Sebastian and team not only took the time to understand our business and growth plans but also gave insightful advice on how we should think about our executive team as a whole. They went above and beyond during these unprecedented times and delivered both our CFO and CRO across our London and New York offices respectively. I would highly recommend Renaissance to any founder or CEO who is looking to scale up their leadership team.”
