Renaissance are delighted to announce that Dami Ekpe has joined Inkitt as Director of Programming Strategy.
Working with the VP of Content, Sophie Yurkoski, Dami will lead content programming strategy across both the free and paid platforms Inkitt and Galatea.
Founded in 2014 by Ali Albazaz in Berlin, Inkitt started with the core belief that every author in the world should have an equal chance to succeed. Inkitt is the world’s first reader-powered publisher, providing a platform to discover hidden talents and turn them into globally successful authors. Inkitt’s mission is to build the Disney of the 21st century: a data-driven, systematic and pragmatic company that will find the best storytellers in the world and launch blockbuster after blockbuster.
To date, Inkitt have raised a total of $80M in funding over 5 rounds. Investors include Kleiner Perkins, New Enterprise Associates, Speedinvest, HV Capital and Redalpine. Their latest round was in October 2021.
Dami joins Inkitt from the Content Discovery and Engagement team at Audible. He has a wealth of data strategy and publishing experience from Audible and HarperCollins. Dami holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in addition to a Classics Degree from the University of Cambridge.
