Founded in 2013, Malt is the leading end-to-end marketplace where companies and organizations find the right freelance talents to match their business’ needs.
Headquartered in Paris and recognised as one of the best start-ups to work at by LinkedIn, Malt has recently acquired the German company Comatch, reaching over 460 employees.
Belén joins Malt’s dynamic and diverse leadership team with the mission to enrich the marketplace user experience for both their clients and freelance community. She is a highly experienced product leader who has worked for some of Europe’s most successful marketplaces. She joins Malt from her most recent role as Senior Director of Marketplace Product at Vinted.
Malt’s global addressable market is huge and as an organisation, they continue to grow at nearly 100% year on year. Due to this commercial success and market potential Malt has raised over €130m, with its Series C closing in May 2021 at €80m, led by Goldman Sach’s growth fund.
According to Richard Yarsley, Chief People Officer “Working with Renaissance was really smooth and efficient. They took time to get to know our business and our culture, it was important for us to have a truly international search and Renaissance delivered. We appreciated the fact that they introduced us to a variety of candidates, but were never too pushy, and took into account our feedback to continuously narrow the search until we met Belén, who really impressed us. At every part of the process it was more and more obvious she was the right person.”
Founded in 2013 by Vincent Huguet (CEO) and Hugo Lassiège (CTO), with Alexandre Fretti as Managing Director, Malt is an European marketplace where more than 370,000 freelance consultants put their skills and expertise at the service of companies looking for external talents. Malt already works with more than 1,000 enterprises and 30 000 SMBs. With the acquisition of Comatch in 2022, the leading marketplace for top freelance management consultants and industry experts, Malt is present across eleven regions and countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Middle East and North Africa, the Netherlands, Nordics, Spain, Switzerland and the UK). Malt has been supported since its launch by prominent investors: Eurazeo, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Kerala, Serena, and Isai.
