RGAx appoints Dennis Barnes as Chief Executive Officer

RGAx, the innovation accelerator of Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA) announced the appointment of Dennis Barnes, Jr. as Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for global leadership of RGAx and is a member of RGA’s Executive Committee.
Dennis has more than two decades of experience as an entrepreneur and innovator in insurance direct marketing. His company Marketing Direct, Inc. (MDI), an integrated healthcare marketing services company which he founded in 1997, was acquired in 2010 by WPP, the world’s largest provider of marketing and communication services. There, he was president of Wunderman St. Louis and Chief Client Officer of Wunderman Health, a digital agency for life insurance, pharmaceutical, medical devices and other health and wellness verticals.

GoCardless appoints Andrew Gilboy as Chief Revenue Officer

Andrew joins GoCardless from enterprise cloud eCommerce solutions specialist Demandware where he was VP EMEA for five years, culminating in a successful acquisition by Salesforce in 2016 for $2.8bn.

Andrew has extensive experience in senior enterprise solution sales leadership roles prior to Demandware. He was VP EMEA -Enterprise at Oracle (moving across as part of the Stellent acquisition) and has also held key roles at BMC, Interlink and IBM.

During a highly impressive career to date Andrew has been involved in several IPOs and successful trade sales to global technology giants like IBM, Oracle and Salesforce. Andrew joins the GoCardless executive team working alongside founder CEO Hiroki Takeuchi and CTO / CPO Carlos Gonzalez-Cadenas. Andrew has a BSc in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester.

GoCardless was founded in 2011 and has quickly become the UK’s leading Direct Debit provider, simplifying direct debit and opening up access to companies who could never previously use it.

As one of London’s leading Fintech start-ups their client base is impressive ranging from organisations like small gym or scout groups up to enterprise customers like The Guardian and the UK Government. Carbon Black Appoints Thomas Hansen to Lead Worldwide Sales

Carbon Black, the leader in next-generation endpoint security, today announced the company has hired Thomas Hansen as chief revenue officer and executive vice president.

A former global executive at both Microsoft and Dropbox, Hansen will lead Carbon Black’s worldwide sales, sales engineering, channel sales, customer success, and customer services.

Prior to joining Carbon Black, Hansen worked as Dropbox’s global vice president of revenue from 2015 to 2017 and played a key role in making the company the fastest SaaS company to reach $1B in revenue, according to IDC. During his tenure, Hansen led the company’s significant growth with a global, multi-channel, go-to-market strategy that helped Dropbox surpass $1B in annualized revenue run rate.

At Microsoft from 2001 until 2015, Hansen most recently served as the worldwide vice president of the SMB organization at the company’s headquarters in Redmond, WA, where he was responsible for a global team of sales, marketing, and partner management professionals and led a multi-billion dollar, fast-growing business. While at Microsoft, Hansen’s team recruited and built one of the world’s largest cloud ecosystem of partners.
